Cake Sale Raises €7,500 for Chifundo Foundation

In early June, the Parish of Guardian Angels in Blackrock, Dublin came together in a heartwarming show of community and generosity by hosting a cake sale in support of the Chifundo Foundation.

The event began with a moving presentation from Elaine Cogavin, who shared the inspiring work of the Chifundo Foundation from the altar at the end of Mass. Her PowerPoint presentation offered parishioners a deeper understanding of the foundation’s mission and impact.

Following the service, the parish’s Pastoral Centre was transformed into a haven of homemade treats, thanks to the incredible efforts of many women from the parish and surrounding areas who donated their time and baking talents. Friends and parishioners also pitched in with serving and organising, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of all involved, the cake sale raised an impressive €7,500 for the Chifundo Foundation. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who baked, helped, and donated — your support is making a real difference.
