Field Day Fundraising: Cakes, Plants & Purpose in the Community

We love seeing how grassroots energy can spark real impact—and that’s exactly what happened this week at a lively Field Day held at a local community centre, thanks to the enthusiasm and hard work of Jessica and her amazing support crew!

With help from her friends and family, Jessica set up a colourful stall filled with delicious homemade cakes, vibrant plants, and charming bric-a-brac—all in support of the Chifundo Foundation. Beyond the buzz of the market, the event created a brilliant opportunity to introduce more people to Chifundo’s mission of supporting children's education in Malawi.

The response was incredible. As neighbours browsed, chatted, and donated, Jessica’s team raised a fantastic €627—a generous sum that will go a long way in helping us fund essential educational resources for the children we support.
